Boomtown

The pizza here is the best! We went there in November, be cause, there was a comedy show going on so we decided to check it out. WHAT A GREAT TIME! funny comics, the staff was great. we have been there three time since. always great.

Reading a couple of comments on Boomtown and thought I would add my two cents. Boomtown has some of the pizza in town, I put it in the top two for sure. Pretty darn good burgers and reallly good Calzones. Prices on both food and drink are more than fair for Mankato.

The review that gets me is guy or gal who has eaten there 5 times in the last six months and bitches about the service. If I get shitty service I do not go back. If I give it a second try and it sucks again I really don‘t go back. 3rd, 4th annnnnd 5th try, seriously. I have always found the help to super nice and not to hard to look at.

The big sign by the front door of this place says it all, "Voted number one college hang out in Mankato". I transfered here last year and just love this place. They have something different going on everynight of the week; karaoke Mondays, schooner night Tuesday, trivia Wend., cheap pitchers Thursday. The music is great and the staff is so nice. My roomates and I love the pizza too, discounts on Sunday and Wend.

My friends and I love to stop at Boomtown after work for drinks. In the summer it‘s so nice to sit on the patio, where we can also smoke. We like everyone on the staff and they seem to know us and usually remember what we like to drink. I also like the new specials they put in place of the cup specials. Definitely the bar to just hang out with your friends, love it!

I have not been to Boomtown in some time and have to say I am impressed with the place. The service was great, our waistress even sat down with us for a couple of minutes to chat. The pizza is different than it use to be, but I think it is better now than before. They have some special ever night of the week from cheap pizza to discounted drinks. We stopped before a movie and it was busy but not packed. We stopped back after the movie and its appears they get the college crownd about 11:oo p.m. This will be our pre-movie dinner and drink stop from now on. A++

The service in this place has really gone downhill. The waitresses are slow and rude. I‘ve eaten there about 5 times in the past six months and been disappointed by the service every time. It‘s like the waitresses just started and don‘t know anything or don‘t care. The food is ok but that seems to have gone downhill too.
